Thanks to its unique reliefs, the Mlynická Valley is a national nature reserve. The hike to the Skok waterfall is easy and well marked. The Skok waterfall, at 25 meters, is one of the highest in the High Tatras. However, the trail does not end at the waterfall, but continues up the valley. When passing around and above the waterfall, there are 2 more technically demanding sections secured with chains, which are ideal to cross when the rock is dry. A few dozen meters above the waterfall is Pleso nad Skokom, which is one of ten lakes in the valley. Higher in the valley below Capí pleso there is a memorial plaque dedicated to the air rescuers who died here during a rescue operation.
