The hike first leads to Popradské pleso, from where a more strenuous climb to the saddle below Ostrvou awaits you. From there, above the forest belt below Štôlska dolina to Batizovská dolina, where you will reach the southern shore of Batizovské pleso. This will enchant you with its clear water, views of Kostolík and the entire western wall of Gerlachovské štít from the foothills to the summit.
